„Ultrafast” livestock ultrasound scanning

Scanning large numbers of animals may be very strenuous and may take a lot of time. In Australia, where cattle herds and sheep flocks are the largest in the world, decreasing time needed for pregnancy scanning is one of the crucial issues. Our Australian Distributor – Philip Schoeffel and his company Advanced Farm Systems prove that with proper equipment and experience, pregnancy scanning doesn’t have to drag on interminably.

We would like to invite you to watch two movies showing Ben Watts and Nicky Murphy (Philip’s cooperatives) at work. They are both using Dramiński Animal Profi scanners with mechanical probes, which wide scanning angles (e.g. unique 180 degrees in rectal probe) allow to limit time needed to find pregnancy to minimum. They also use special “scanning crates” which make scanning a lot easier and faster and require just few people (usually just 2) to operate.

Ben Watts is a senior teacher for Technical and Further Education (TAFE) based in Wellington NSW Australia and a cooperative of Advanced Farm Systems – Australian distributor of Dramiński. Ben uses Animal Profi with sector mechanical abdominal probe and a shade cover to protect the screen from bright sun.

She uses Animal Profi with rectal probe on introducer allowing to make quick and less invasive pregnancy checking. She also uses a shade cover.
