Ultrasonography - extracurricular courses in Russia

Veterinary studies cover a vast amount of material and involve many interesting issues, however, not all universities and colleges make use in their teaching of up-to-date imaging techniques for diagnosing large and small animals. In certain countries the subject of ultrasonography is limited to merely several hours of teaching in the entire curriculum.

Since we believe in the usability and high effectiveness of this method, as well as thanks to our cooperation with veterinary college in Biełgorod, we have set ourselves a goal – creating an extracurricular course devoted solely to ultrasonography, as a continuation of our educational mission in Russia. We aim at giving young people, future veterinary doctors, the opportunities and conditions to develop professionally and acquire knowledge.

We are delighted to find in Russian colleges the space designed for the special practice room equipped with teaching materials, educational charts and ultrasound systems manufactured by Dramiński, which enable their students to broaden their knowledge and gain valuable experience.

During our last visit we also organized a series of lectures along with practical workshops featuring Polish experts using ultrasound imaging in their day-to-day work. The workshops were conducted with farm animals (pigs, cows) and small domestic animals (dogs and cats) using the most up-to-date models of portable ultrasound scanners manufactured by Dramiński: iScan, Animal Profi 2 and 4Vet.
