Growing attendance at the conference in Olsztyn

One of the most important and largest medical conferences in the country is already behind us – The Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Days were organised in Olsztyn already for the fifth time (18-20/10/2013) under the auspices of the Polish Ultrasound Society and Dramiński company.

Three days of lectures centred around the theme of mistakes in diagnostic imaging attracted renowned physicians from various fields of medicine, who shared their experiences with participants, advised on how to make one’s practice more efficient, and alerted participants to the mistakes resulting from superficial and rushed diagnoses. Two practical workshops were an excellent opportunity to observe ultrasound scanning techniques, and to test top quality Opus D ultrasound scanner by Dramiński.

In his closing speech, Professor Wiesław Jakubowski Ph.D. in Medicine, urged participants to be reliable in their profession, and encouraged to collegial consultations with various specialists in order to minimise diagnostic errors inevitable in medical practice.

The conference, which year on year gains a growing recognition, this year attracted over 200 physicians from the entire country. We hope that next year there will be even more participants. The Sixth Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Days will take place on 17-19 October 2014, and the central theme of the meeting will be “Rare diseases and difficult cases in adults and children ultrasound scanning”.
