Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it does. The angle at which the probe is introduced into the vagina as well as the probe length influence the readings. For that reason we recommend to perform measurements always in the same or similar manner.
TopYes, it is possible in the determined period after insemination (in cows it is after 3-4 weeks). If the Detector’s readings still remain high (in cows it is about 300 units or more), it means that the animal is pregnant. Obviously the interpretation is valid for completely healthy animals.
Decreasing readings (in cows about 200 units or less) after insemination indicate that the animals are not pregnant and that subsequent heat is approaching.
TopDRAMIŃSKI Company manufacture the following versions of the instrument:
These detectors differ mainly with the probe size and location. The user should remember that the test principle is the same in all versions; however, received measurements and interpretations are different for each species.
TopOur company uses Polish disinfecting agents such as BIOVAL or STERINOL. We also recommend a French product, NOBACTEL. However, you can use all disinfecting agents recommended for veterinary use. You must be careful while using these agents when the test is performed shortly before insemination (as the agent may kill sperm cells). In such a case the probe should be rinsed with water after disinfection.
