Growing popularity of Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Days

Last weekend (October 9-11th) the Park hotel in Olsztyn held the seventh season of Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Conference organized by DRAMINSKI S.A., a world class manufacturer of ultrasound equipment. The conference was organized in cooperation with Polish Ultrasound Scanning Association.

This event gathered famous Polish specialists of ultrasound scanning. Year by year the conference under the auspices of DRAMINSKI S.A. gathers more and more enthusiasts and practitioners of noninvasive, fast and popular diagnostic method which is ultrasound scanning. During the first season of Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Days seven years ago there were only 30 doctors. A year ago the number of participants grew to 150 and this year the conference attracted 230 people. The Rector of Warmia and Mazury University Mr Ryszard Górecki honoured the conference by his presence.

This year the meeting was devoted to the topic of oncology: “Ultrasound diagnostics in oncology”. The lectures were conducted by 17 specialists in medical imaging. The participants took part in such lectures as: ultrasound diagnostics of nipple cancer, thyroid cancer, cancers in laryngology, cancer of chest, lungs and pleura, liver, pancreas, spleen, stomach, intestines, genitourinary system, genital system, eyeball and eye socket, as well as musculoskeletal system cancers. Doctor Mateusz Kosiek talked about his experience in early ultrasound diagnostics of cancer in a GP surgery.

The emotions connected with organizing VII conference are slowly declining. Soon we are going to prepare to the next year’s VIII Warmia and Mazury Ultrasound Scanning Days “From a symptom to an ultrasound diagnosis” which will take place on 21st-23rd of October 2016.

Will the next topic gather even more participants? We promise to do our best to make the next year’s lectures be characterized by a high substantive level and adjustment to the participants’ needs who understand the benefits of ultrasound diagnostics.
